The Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation Limited (PIPDIC) was set up by the Government of Puducherry in 1974 with the twin objective of promoting the Industrial Development of Puducherry and providing financial assistance to entrepreneurs. It is a limited company with an authorized share capital of Rs.45 crores. PIPDIC provides various facilities such as Term loans, Equity participations / Underwriting of Capital issues, Hire Purchase and Lease Financing, IT & Electronic Parks/Growth Centre/Industrial Estates.

Panel of Valuers/Chartered Engineers have been appointed for Valuation of properties to be mortgaged.
Exempted in furnishing registered lease deed for work premises in respect of loans upto Rs.25.00 lakhs and instead an un-registered lease deed is accepted .
For loans upto Rs.25.00 lakhs the promoter’s contribution has been reduced from 33.33% to 25%.
Separate Entrepreneur Guidence Cell has been set up for guiding the entrepreneurs in all respect.
Financial assistance under merit loan scheme to Good Borrowers of the Corporation is being extended with concessional rate of interest on fast track basis.
Interest rebate for prompt payment increased from 1% to 2%.
